Carnauba wax

Is a type of wax that is obtained from the leaves of the palm Copernicia prunifera. This palm is endemic to South America and grows in the region of Ceará, northeast of Brazil. During the dry season, the plant is covered with a thick layer of wax composed of esters, alcohols and fatty acids to avoid losing water. Once the leaves are cut, they are dried and crushed so that the wax comes off.

This wax is also known as the "queen of waxes", due to its characteristics and infinity of applications: it is recognized for its gloss properties and combines hardness with wear resistance.
