    Beeswax
It is produced by the young honeybees that secrete it as a liquid through their wax glands. Upon contact with the air, the wax hardens and forms small flakes of wax on the bottom of the bee. The bees use it to build the hexagonal alveoli of their honeycombs, where honey and pollen are preserved and where the queen bee lays eggs.

Is a type of wax that is obtained from the leaves of the palm Copernicia prunifera. This palm is endemic to South America and grows in the region of Ceará, northeast of Brazil. During the dry season, the plant is covered with a thick layer of wax composed of esters, alcohols and fatty acids to avoid losing water. Once the leaves are cut, they are dried and crushed so that the wax comes off.
