Last Thursday, 28 May, Proquinat suffered a serious fire at its facilities in Òrrius, causing significant material damage to our production site.
In light of this situation, we want to convey a message of reassurance and transparency to our customers, suppliers, partners and companies connected to our activity. From the outset, we have activated all the necessary resources to manage the emergency, reorganise our operations and ensure business continuity.
The most important thing for us is that there have been no personal injuries. Everyone who is part of the Proquinat team is safe and well. In a situation of this nature, people’s safety and wellbeing come before any other consideration, and we are deeply grateful that there have been no personal consequences.
We are currently focusing our efforts on restoring activity, coordinating the different teams and implementing alternative solutions that allow us to continue meeting the commitments made to our customers.
Commitment to continuity
Proquinat remains firmly committed to service and business continuity. We have activated contingency plans, alternative logistics resources and the collaboration of suppliers and strategic partners to minimise the impact of this situation and restore normal operations as soon as possible.
Although some operational adjustments or occasional delays may occur in certain processes over the coming weeks, our team will continue working closely with each customer to provide updated information and seek the best possible solution in each case.
Acknowledgement of the support received
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the many messages of support, solidarity and collaboration received over the past few days from customers, suppliers, partners and companies in the sector.
We would also like to acknowledge the outstanding work carried out by the emergency services and all the professionals involved in managing the incident. Their swift response, professionalism and dedication were fundamental in a particularly complex situation.
Looking ahead
This is undoubtedly one of the most difficult moments in our history. However, it is also highlighting the strength of our team, the trust built with our customers and partners, and the response capacity of a company with long-standing experience in the sector.
Proquinat is facing this situation with responsibility, determination and confidence. We will continue to provide updates on any relevant developments as the recovery process progresses.
