Since 1995, Proquinat has been manufacturing and distributing waxes, paraffins and raw materials for industrial companies requiring a regular supply, technical advice and solutions tailored to their specific applications. We work with sectors such as candle manufacturing, paper and packaging, cosmetics, hair removal, the chemical industry and other technical applications, with a presence in Europe, North Africa, Turkey and the Middle East.

Our Story

Proquinat is born

Proquinat was founded as a chemical products salesman, specialising in waxes and paraffins, in an office in Badalona.

First floor

A factory in Fornells de la Selva (Girona) is acquired and the processes of manufacturing, refining and handling waxes begin.

First major commercial milestone

Proquinat has sold more than 1,000 mt and strengthens strategic relationships with commercial trips to China and Brazil.

New office in Badalona

The growth forces them to expand their team and open a new office to improve the structure and daily operations.

Sustained growth

Sales exceed 4,000 mt. The demand for natural waxes is increasing, with 250 mt of beeswax and 100 mt of carnauba.

New headquarters in Òrrius

Proquinat inaugurates a 4,200 m² warehouse in Òrrius, with offices and a factory. A decisive step towards efficiency and sustained growth.

30 years looking to the future

With 16 people on staff and +€12 million in turnover, the company is professionalising, launching a new image and a commitment to sustainability.
